Outburst of an Indian Railway employee

Came across this man working for the Indian Railways during one of my recent journeys and he had a lot to say, most of the starting of the outburst had not been recorded because i honestly did not expect him to go on for so long with such rage and emotions.

And I entitled it: A Dirge…

Hey, generation of morrow,

Do you bathe in bricks,

Do you feast on shattered glass?

Is your mistress proud of you?

Do you feast on weaker mass

Do you sulk on higher doze?

Hey, hey, are you they talk about?

The one they worship

Are you the one in hiding?

Trying to boost your importance

Are you even qualified

Do you care for the rotten?

Hey, genocide, did you ever dine with it?

Have you Paralyzed your bone and mind

Are you the one who pities the crying?

Is it your pet who’s dying?

It is your damaged car

Or is it the one you ran over?

Hey, children of the lesser men

Which way is your god?

Is he hiding in your filth

Or did he die with incest?

Do you bite the bait of faith and hope

Bathed in pleasured forsaken songs?

Crack the Whip

Here’s the biggest problem. We give too much power to our (so called) “democratically elected” representatives. Dilute that power and all that remains is a job. Just give them work and responsibility. Make them accountable. Let there be generous rewards for good conduct and swiftly deliver firm penalties for any misconduct. Let the public servants be under the burden of stringent laws and not the public. After all, their ideas and actions affect billions of us, don’t they? Give them work to do and crack the whip. They are the servants, aren’t they? There’s no need to bestow so much power. It’s power that corrupts, doesn’t it?
